Established under a landmark legislative bill passed in 2025, ORIPA is uniquely structured as a commercially driven entity. While partially owned by the Local Government Council, our private-sector framework ensures we operate with the agility, transparency, and efficiency required to thrive in today’s global market.

The Oji River Investment Promotion Agency (ORIPA) was born from the forward-thinking initiative of Hon. Greg Anyaegbudike, the Executive Chairman of Oji River Local Government.
His bold vision was to establish a dedicated investment office aimed at accelerating development in the
local government area.

Recognizing the need to institutionalize the process of development funding, ensuring its sustained success beyond his administration, Hon. Anyaegbudike appointed Mr. Donald Madueke as Managing Director and tasked him with building the foundational framework for an independent investment bureau.
